About Manpreet

Hello!

I am a wedding, dance and commercial photographer based in Vancouver, BC.

Started my career as a photographer in commercial photography after training under a legend of the photography world, the late Wilas Bhende, followed by a stint at the premier institute for photography - Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, CA

As a commercial photographer in India & Dubai, I had the opportunity to work with some of the top advertising agencies such as Lintas, O&M, Trikaya Grey, JWT associates in UAE. My work has been featured in campaigns for prestigious clients including Pepsi, The Taj chain of Hotels, Nestle, HP, Bata, Lufthansa, Rajasthan Tourism, Sharjah Tourism

In 1999 moved to Toronto and worked at different studios, namely Artistic Photography, Kamdar Studios and Dattu Photo on commercial and portrait photography. Jobs ranged from portraits and product shots to car catalogues for Lexus (Canada). In 2006 established my own company Mansa Photography doing wedding, dance, corporate event photography besides products and catalogues. Here I got the opportunity to work with some very renowned dance companies like Sampradaya, Mavin Khoo Dance Company (UK), Menaka Thakkar Dance Company, Janak Khendry Dance Company etc. Corporate clients include Women in Film & Television, The Indus Entrepreneurs (TIE), Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC), Maytree Foundation and The Walter and Duncan Gordon Foundation

As a wedding photographer, my work has been featured in Canadian Bride magazine as well as in Toronto Star and on the website of Queensberry Album (New Zealand), one of the finest album manufactures in the world. I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to photograph a spectrum of weddings, from Hindu weddings, Sikh, Muslim, Chapel, Church as well as multi-cultural weddings. I have had fun doing them and in the process made some incredible friends.

I also had the good fortune of collaorating on a unique three day workshop along with another photographer and a life coach for Campbell soup’s R&D department. Here we trained the R&D personnel, some of who were novices in photography, in the basics of their equipment, the art of seeing, composition and then helped them visualize their mission statement using pictures that they had created. Throughout my professional career I have also focused not only on continuously honing my skills & techniques attending workshops & seminars, but also on training upcoming photographers. Many photographers who started as interns have succeeded in establishing their own photography business

For me photography is more than a profession. It is my vocation. I absolutely love what I do and nothing matters to me more than making sure that every picture I take tells a story. Thank you for taking the time to read about me. I look forward to hearing from you and telling the story of your wedding
